The team is led by Dasho Drangpon Lungten Drubjur of Bench I and Dasho Passang Wangmo of Bench II.
The people were briefed on the sources of Bhutanese laws, the Bhutan Penal Code 2994, Civil and Criminal Procedure Code 2001 and Marriage Act 1980.
Opening the campaign in Shaba gewog, Dasho Lungten said that in the olden days, laws not never shown to the people. But today with the institution of the democracy, it is very important for the people to know the laws.
Dasho said that knowing the laws will not only prevent people from commiting crime but also help to understand the court procedures and know one's own rights in fighting a case.
Some of the important clauses people were made aware were smuggling of the antuques, social peoblesms and their penlities. People were also instructed how to write petition and agreements.
During the campaign, the people were also given annual judiciary reportsand figures.
According to this report, Paro was the second busiest court in the country leaving only one case more than 12 months.
The campaign began from Shaba on 20th Jan, 21 in Naja and Dogar and Hungrel today.
