Bhutanese people are most blessed to have their majesties the kings as the leader, no matter who comes on throne. The father, the sons are all same because they are all containing the pure noble blood. The blood of Buddha nature, compassion, sympathy, integrity, care and selflessness are common to all of them.
It has been exactly a year ago, His Majesty the King received Dhar Nyenga from Zhabdrung Machhey in Puna Dewachenpoi Phodrang. As one of the youngest king in the world, people did not expect much from him now. He is still young and need to gain experience. Yet today, people shed tears of joy when they meet him because of his ability and the way to lead the country. He has been now a ray of hope for every person irrespective of age, gender, colour, ethnicity, cast or creed.
We know that millions of people questioned their leaders, made demonstrations for not being able to help when they had crises such as earthquake, Tsunamis, Typhoon and floods. Here in Bhutan, immediately His Majesty the King sent his representative to make sure that the affected people get the help as soon as possible. His Majesty himself then rushed to the affected areas, meeting people, consoling them, giving them hope, grieving with them, rendering all the necessary aids through his charity fund. He would walk hours and days to reach every house to meet every family often crossing rugged terrain mountains, rivers and sleeping in huts, smoke blacked kitchen bringing himself equal to any ordinary citizen.
He said that people should not come to king to receive Kidu instead Kidu should reach people. His Majesty sends his Royal Chamberlains to identify people needing Kidu and give them Kidu. That is why today he is called people’s king. The closest things to his heart are his people and the country.
In a year of his kingship, he earned enough more respected and reputation than expected because of his selfless service to the nation. Thus, as tomorrow is his formal coronation day, pray for his long life and prosperity. LONG LIVE HIS MAJESTY THE KING.
yea dude! hats off to the great visionary monarch of ours.....
