Bhutan and IT era vs E-Waste

Bhutan is one of the last countries to join the rest of the world to become the part of e-world. But despite various challenges post by the geographical conditions of the country, Bhutan still managed to take active part in the e-world. Within a couple of years from the start of the IT in the country, today, we boast of high internet facilities from dial up connections to lease line connections to now broadband. Thousands of IT related products are imported every now and then from other countries. And on the other hand there is already a huge heap of E-waste is piled up in the stores of government agencies, organizations and so on. Where will be these huge heap of e-waste can be disposed? Is Bhutan ready to face the problem of e-waste? Does government has put any plans and strategies to address such problems? These questions still remain without a solution. But the problem is getting more and more serious.... and will go on for sometime ..... Because many more IT related products and institutes are on the way..... and propping up every day.
