RIM Host the 10th SAMF Management Forum

This is a news i have written for the RIM News Letter dated May 2009, Issue no.5. The Royal Institute of Management took the opportunity to host the 10th South Asian Management Forum from 9-10 April 2009. The theme of the forum was "change and continuity: Management Prospects and Challenges". The Prime Minister Lyonchen J. Y. Thinley graced the opening ceremony. He emphasized on the need for sustainability in development. He further said "change is inevitable. Not to able to change, adapt or manage change is to become obsolete, redundant and yield to entropy". More than 200 experts and scholars took part in the two day conference. They delibrated on various issues on the management and made the recommendations. It was ended with a cultural show by the RIM trainees and a private entertainment group, Khuju Luyang. Detailed news can be read from www.rim.edu.bt As as part of the forum, the Director of the Royal Institute of Management Mr. Karma Tshering was formally appointed as the New President of AMDISA (Association of Development Forum held in the Institute from 9th-10th April 2009. he was the Vice President of AMDISA prior to his present portfolio.
