National Assembly and National Council: Should Supreme Court be instituted sooner than later

By watching the way the National Council Members raised concerns when the Honourable Ministers failed to come for the question answer session in this session of the national council and the way His Excellency the Honourable Prime Minister Lyonchen JYT expressed dissatisfaction over the national council is something to worry. As a concerned citizen, we see that both the houses need to understand their roles and responsibilities they have provided. we had faith in them when they first came to power the government and the council members, but now people are getting confused what these two bodies are actually doing. Thousands of innocent citizens across the country especially in the remote areas are worried about the next step these bodies may take.It is because the direct impact would be on them, no matter who is right or wrong or who fails in their duty or become irresponsible. In short it is not the roles of these two bodies to make people panic instead they should resolve these issues among themselves and work for the benefit of the public. And more so in building a strong, vibrant and dynamic foundation for the democracy in Bhutan. Thus, it is high time that these members whom people have faith and confidence does not let the common people regret for appointing them as their leaders. We know that we one of the most qualified and elite people in the Parliament in the South East Asia. Hence, we expect them to be more wise, better thinker and bring the changes that could make Bhutan a better place to live. In other words, the wishes and expectations that our able dynamic their monarchs be fulfilled and the principle of Gross National Happiness achieved. If not, then the bottom line that the Supreme Court must be instituted as soon as possible and come into force, intervene such differences that is there. Otherwise, all the struggles and hard work they our forefather have done may not yield any positive results. All the faith and hope that our monarchs had in the people of Bhutan will be lost.
