<h4><b>Graduate orientation: A special occassion for the Bhutanese graduates</b></h4>

As i walked down the Motithang Town to the Capital City, I met many new gents and ladies in groups dwelling in the town unlike in the past weeks.Usually, on Sundays the every spaces and corners near the Honkong Market, Lugar Theatreand nearby are fully occupied by the Indian Labourers. But today, these large gathering of bourers are dominated and surpassed by the youths of Bhutan. They are busy in checking their mails, hugging friends, chatting with their college friends on issues ranging from debates to symposiums.

None of them seem to talk about the jobs or employments or common exams but of their attires, hairstyles. These are the graduates of 2008 eagerly waiting for the so called National Graduate Orientation Programme which will begin from Tuesday, eight August 2009 for a period of two weeks.

As per the informal source revealed that there are more than 1400 graduates registered for the NGOP this year. These youths will be briefed on various government policies to employments issues to national etiquette so called "Driglam Namzha". It is often regarded as the platform to meet new friends and showcase their talents, clear their doubts on government policies.
It is also considered to be a fun times of the graduates and celebrate their achievement in the academics and feel proud of themselves.

The occassion will be graced by senior government officials.These include the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice, cabinet ministers, secretaries and other senior government and private officials.

This is also can occasion to meet their prince Dasho JigyeL Wangdchuk this year. The final day will be graced by His Majesty the King.

Infact, this is one of the steps showing how much government and people of Bhutan has faith, trus and expectations from the youth of Bhutan.

let this be yet another milestone in the Bhutanese society to become a real Knowledge based Industry in the Future.
