Bhutanese people are most blessed to have their majesties the kings as the leader, no matter who comes on throne. The father, the sons are all same because they are all containing the pure noble blood. The blood of Buddha nature, compassion, sympathy, integrity, care and selflessness are common to all of them.
It has been exactly a year ago, His Majesty the King received Dhar Nyenga from Zhabdrung Machhey in Puna Dewachenpoi Phodrang. As one of the youngest king in the world, people did not expect much from him now. He is still young and need to gain experience. Yet today, people shed tears of joy when they meet him because of his ability and the way to lead the country. He has been now a ray of hope for every person irrespective of age, gender, colour, ethnicity, cast or creed.
We know that millions of people questioned their leaders, made demonstrations for not being able to help when they had crises such as earthquake, Tsunamis, Typhoon and floods. Here in Bhutan, immediately His Majesty the King sent his representative to make sure that the affected people get the help as soon as possible. His Majesty himself then rushed to the affected areas, meeting people, consoling them, giving them hope, grieving with them, rendering all the necessary aids through his charity fund. He would walk hours and days to reach every house to meet every family often crossing rugged terrain mountains, rivers and sleeping in huts, smoke blacked kitchen bringing himself equal to any ordinary citizen.
He said that people should not come to king to receive Kidu instead Kidu should reach people. His Majesty sends his Royal Chamberlains to identify people needing Kidu and give them Kidu. That is why today he is called people’s king. The closest things to his heart are his people and the country.
In a year of his kingship, he earned enough more respected and reputation than expected because of his selfless service to the nation. Thus, as tomorrow is his formal coronation day, pray for his long life and prosperity. LONG LIVE HIS MAJESTY THE KING.

Every moment in our life, we get angry, become sad and emotional. We get jealous and we think of taking revenge. We love people. We hate people. Why do we do all these? Do we ever think and realize why these things happen in our life? Nobody does because we always think that we live in present and are doing now.
Actually, whatever we do is result of the past. Every event in life comes from the past. When we are controlled by our sub conscious minds, we feel emotional, we feel sad and we become angry. On the other hand when we are controlled by the conscious mind, we become happy. We think of good things and good deeds. But on the whole everything originates from the past.
For instance if I meet a beautiful lady, I think of her later and fall in love. If I meet a guy and if he happens to irritate me, the next day I meet him again, I think of forgetting him, ignoring him because I met him in the past.
Thus, past is responsible for taking us to the hell and to the heaven. We think of the past the act on it according to the past either to commit crime or sin or merit in our life. This is not a philosophy nor religion but a science of mind.
Americans killed hundreds of Taliban insurgents because they attacked US in the past. The Dalai Lama is banned to visit China because of the past.
Life itself is about past and we always miss the present and think of the future but do everything according to our past.

The journey was too long, tiresome and time consuming. But that did not matter to me anyway because it was worth taking the journey back to the home that fusnished and made me what I am today.
There were numerous obstructions for me to go for the 12th Convocation last week. The obstacles ranged from financial stability to arranging transport to accomodation in the college. Nothing could prevent me from going as I was determined to go. I did not just went to attend the convocation instead many important events took place along with it.
It the moment for me to meet some of my close friends whom I could not meet since I passed out from the college. It was a moment for me to meet my old lecturers whom I owe them so much as my life because they were the ones who shaped me and made me what I am today. It was also the moment for me to see shercol growing even better as a peak of learning, which served as my home for the last three years. It was also the moment for me to meet some of the finest leaders, His Majesty the King and pay tribute to him for thier continuous assistance in all forms to make us a usefull citizen. It was the moment of joyful occassion to take pride in what I have acheived so far as a student of Sherubtse when I was conferred the Degree Certificate no less than His Majesty the King himself. In short, it was the moment to celebrate and reunite with each other.

I was lost in excitment, I was lost in his warmth, I was enlightned for a while, because I could denounce everything on this world when His Majesty the King shook my hand and took a photograph with me holding my degree certificate.
His hands were so gentle, yet warm enough to save the lives from cold. His hands were so smooth, even a first degree burnt patient would not feel the pain if he touches his hand. His hands were so pleasant in smell that even the gods and goddesses would come now and then to be around him. His words were so simple, some soft yet so powerful to make even the most evil and devil minded humans and demons on this earth would listen to him and become his followers. His words of congratulation went into my ear far better than any music I have listend so far.
As I stand along with him on the dias, I felt the glittering of his charming and young leader of Bhutanese Monarch. I had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister, conversed wit him without any fear, I had the opportunity to shake my hands with one of the greatest American Senator, John MaCcain and interview him when he visited Bhutan last year. During all those, I did not have a patch of fear and lost my confidence. But not this time, even for a few seconds, I knew I lost confidence and was definitely shivering myself on the dias during the photo session. These were some of the great qualities and invisible powers His Majesty possesed.
I will never forget this day, the evening of October 22, 2009. The handshake and photo session with His Majesty the King to receive my degree certificate.

I have waiting for so long to this day ever since i passed out from the college way back in 2007.Today, I am proud that I reached Shercol again.
As I reached Pam and crossed the Bamridrang Bridge, the beautiful smells of Jasmine flowers scented me before I reached my home, Shercol, the peak of learning. The smell of Jasmine and the beautiful landscape of Rongthong took away all the pains and body aches during my travel from Thimphu to Tashigang which is about 580KM. I ascended the towards the college, I felt the sensation of being able to reach the peak of learning or Sherub Gi Tse.
Neither the recent earthquake of 6.3Ritcher scale nor the strong windstorms or the aftershocks of earthquake has been able to damage the old but homely beautiful buildings of the college. No even small cracks have developed on these walls. It must have been the blessing of the forefathers and the god of wisdom because the place is blessed to be a place of learning.
The young, fragile, soft and energetic gents and ladies at the collage gate showed us the love of brotherhood, gave us the warm hugs, care and smiles making us feel not only homely but also one of the most peaceful and pleasant place on this earth to live and beautiful moment to enjoy.
The situation is further made more homely and safe when we met our old teachers, some still young, some with grey hairs, some become bald. Yet they all had one thing in common. They loved to meet their students, smiled and congratulate their students for their success. They wanted to share about how we have been in the college and how we are doing now.
All those events made me realize that I have come back home once more. The home of learning, the home of enjoyment, the home of romance, the home of development and the home of nuturing ourselves by freely using all our abilities and skills unlike in the schools. We went to Sherubtse as a caterpillar and came back as a butterfly.

I asked my friend Wandue, “Do you have any movie, I am feeling bored here tay”. He replied “Yeah man, I have one called Nostradamus 20212.” He asked him “Is it action movies?” He told me that it is documentary telling us what will happen in 2012 by a man called Nostradamus, French Seer. He told me that the world is going to end according to this prophecy if it becomes true. I told that then I would love to watch that movie. I took the movie from him and transferred it into my laptop and watched. The movie was thrilling and amazing. Its really fantastic.
The movie revealed that by 2102, if necessary actions are not taken to prevent the planet from getting destroyed by the human activities, the world will come to an end.
A website maintained by 2012, the end of the days states that “ 1. There have been three or four previous races and ages of humanity (depending upon the source you read). All of these have been destroyed in major cataclysms. December 21.2012 marks the end of this age and it will end in major catastrophes such as Earthquakes. (see commentary on this statement below)
2. For half of the katun (20 year Mayan cycle) there will be food, for half some misfortunes. This katun brings the end of the "word of God." It is a time of uniting for a cause.
3. As we pass through transition there is a colossal, global convergence of environmental destruction, social chaos, war and ongoing Earth changes.
4. The Earth will undergo a magnetic field shift, reversing the polarity of the planet.
5. An asteroid or comet will collide with the Earth.”
The predictions made by Nostradamus till now has also been proven truth and correct. Some of the most important events happened except 2012 prophecy, as his prophecies were:
1. End of the World in 2012
2. Sept. 11. 2001
3. World War II/Hitler
4. Atomic bomb
5. Louis Pasteur (The lost thing is discovered, hidden for many centuries. Pasteur will be celebrated almost as a God-like figure. This is when the moon completes her great cycle,
But by other rumors he shall be dishonored.
6. JFK & RFK Assassinations The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt, An evil deed foretold by the bearer of a petition.According to the prediction, another falls at night time. Conflict at Reims, London and a pestilence in Tusca
7. Katrina. The cities of Tours, Orleans, Blois, Angers, Reims and Nantes
Are troubled by sudden change.
Tents will be pitched by (people) of foreign tongues;
Rivers, darts at Rennes, shaking of land and sea.
8. Princess Diana's Death. The penultimate of the surname of Prophet
Will take Diana [Thursday] for his day and rest:
He will wander because of a frantic head,
And delivering a great people from subjection.
9. London Fire. The blood of the just will commit a fault at London, Burnt through lighting of twenty threes the six:The ancient lady will fall from her high place, Several of the same sect will be killed.
10. French Revolution"From the enslaved populace, songs, Chants and demands. While princes and lords are held captive in prisons. These will in the future by headless idiots. Be received as divine prayers"
The movie also revealed that if the human being takes necessary precautions in dealing the human activities, the event may be prevented. He talks about the global climate change, nuclear wars and natural calamities. His prediction says if we can prevent or reduce these events from happening, then there is possibility in saving the world.
This time, if his predictions become true, then the next global summit of climate change at Copenhagen in December 2009 will play a vital role in saving or ending the world.
Michel de Nostradame, more commonly known as Nostradamus, was born on December 14, 1503, in St. Remy de Provence. He was a seer and a time traveler living in 2 realities. He also was adept in astrology and astronomy, and, along with his own clairvoyance. He used both sciences to interpret the visions he received in the secrecy of his study.
He was often refered to as the prophet of doom because of the visions he had involving death and war. His parents were of simple lineage from around Avignon. Nostradamus was the oldest son, and had four brothers; of the first three we know little; the youngest, Jean, became Procureur of the Parliament of the Provence.
Nostradamus' great intellect became apparent while he was still very young, and his education was put into the hands of his grandfather, Jean, who taught him the rudiments of Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Mathematics and Astrology.
Nostradamus obtained his bachelor's degree after three years, with apparent ease, and once he had his license to practise medicine he decided to go out into the countryside and help
He made his will on 17th June 1566 and left the large sum, for those days, of 3444 crowns over and above his other possessions. On 1st July he sent for the local priest to give him the last rites, and when Chavigny took leave of him that night, he told him that he would not see him alive again. As he himself had predicted, his body was found the next morning.
He was burried upright in one of the walls of the Church of the Cordeliers at Salon, and his wife Anne erected a splendid marble plaque to his memory.
