Dorji Drudra Penjor wins a Gold Medal in Darjeeling yesterday

According to a news release from BBS website said that a Bhutanese student studying in   class ten in Darjeeeling became the fifth Bhutanese student to bag the Depelchin Gold Medal. The fourth one was won way back in 1985. 
  
Drukdra Dorji Penjore, a class 10 Bhutanese was a student studying in St. Joseph’s School, North Point, Darjeeling. 
The news also reported that such award is given only to a student who becomes all rounder annually. The criteria  included sports, academic, character and leadership quality. The award is the  school’s highest and most prestigious award and was instituted in 1901
